- JOE BENDIK
Cited as a pioneer of NYCs Anti Folk sound by Alternative
Press, Bendik has been a LES fixture since the late 80s. With
his rocking, multi-dimensional style, Bendik has redefined the singer
songwriter genre. You wont see Joe sitting on a stool and moping
about his life. Hes not only Anti Folk, hes Anti Emo. Bendiks
lyrics usually focus on social observation with a Dylanesque sense of
the absurd often delivered with an Iggy Pop/Bob Marley type of energy.
