Theater for the New City presents:

A Walk on the Beach

By Claude Solnik
Directed by Donna Mejia
July 5 – July 15
Weeknights at 8 p.m., Sat. 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sun. 3 p.m.

A Walk on the Beach is based on the true story of a sculptor, David Lewis, in Cape Cod, Mass., who designs a statue of JFK and John Jr. walking on the beach, to go up on the Cape. The town ends up divided re. the project. JFK is a key character: We see and hear the sculptor’s conversations with Kennedy –  in his dreams. A play that deals with the Kennedys, politics, art, media and what happens when they clash, A walk on the Beach is a Kennedy story you haven’t heard.
