CONSENT chronicles the story of a 17-year-old boy trying to get along in today’s America where the fates of kids who are ‘different’ are at the mercy of geography.
Seth is a unique individual living in a small town and coming to terms with his sexual identity, which makes him the target of bullying at school. His estranged mother has returned to town and immediately goes to battle with Seth’s current guardian and baseball Coach. Meanwhile, Seth crushes on a fellow schoolmate, who happens to be the main bully’s brother. The two boys begin to get to know one another but when their relationship is discovered it leads to a series of unfortunate events that shake Seth to his core.
