Menopause: A Love Story is a fable about love, art – and menopause. When the ever-optimistic Woman Without a Clue has a midlife romance with The Desperate Artist, her rose-colored glasses of love come off as she experiences unexpected changes during perimenopause. Life gets bumpy!
Expect desire, anxiety, humor, pathos, music, whimsical use of props and actual information about menopause. Part fictionalized memoir, part theatrical entertainment and part women’s health advocacy, Menopause: A Love Story takes you on a journey of one woman’s unpredictable midlife ride and raises awareness about a normal process – not a disease – that will affect one billion women by 2025.
This work-in-progress showing will feature Part 1 of Menopause: A Love Story and will be followed by an audience talk back.
Written and Directed by Joanne Schultz
