Theater for the New City Actors/Writers’ Workshop: Acting and Playwriting 101 for Beginners taught by Mary Tierney
An interactive playwriting and actors’ workshop in which the playwrights and actors can read new works written by themselves. Discussions and creative suggestions are made to further basic skills. This workshop was created and is run by Mary Tierney, a board member of Theater for the New City. Admission is free. It runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2-5 PM, and Saturdays 12-3 PM. New members are invited — just show up! COVID-19 rules apply.
COVID Protocol and Etiquette:
As of August 17 2021, people 12 and older are required to show proof they have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use by the FDA or WHO.
Proof of vaccination may include the NYC Vaccination Record, CDC Vaccination Card (or photo), Excelsior Pass or NYC COVID Safe App.
All patrons must be vaccinated in order to see shows. Please provide proof before purchasing tickets.
Everyone must wear a face mask for entry into the theater or when moving around.
