Theater for the New City gives special thanks to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and to the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA).

In 2017, Theater for the New City installed a new Elevator Lift with the support of a Quality of Life Grant from the Reeve Foundation, matched by funds from NYSCA.

In 2025, Theater for the New City replaced the front doors to its facility with new, accessible doors with the support of the Reeve Foundation, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, and Hyde & Watson.
