Please join us this Valentine’s Day eve for a Rally and Press Conference for CHARAS! Sunday, February 13, 1pm at CHARAS / El Bohio, 605 E. 9th St.
This is an important rally so please try your best to make it! As some of you may know, on January 19, 2022, developer Gregg Singer was found in default of his mortgage and is now in foreclosure! See link to Decision & Order here .
This means that after 20 years of fighting to stop the destruction of our community center and have it returned, we finally have a Real opportunity to make it so!
We are rallying this Valentine’s Day eve to implore the City to work with us to return CHARAS to our community for use as artist space, non-profit space, community space or more.
We have a short window to make this happen, or CHARAS will end up at public auction again! We need everyone’s support and participation to make our long awaited goal a reality.
